Become Informed, Stay Involved, Reap the Rewards of Membership with the Greater Pittsburgh GCSA
Dear New or Prospective New Member:
As golf course professionals we face many challenges in a profession that is ever changing. Information is one of our most important assets to meet the challenges and make decisions that will benefit our golf course and our club.
The Greater Pittsburgh GCSA has set up many avenues to support our membership including funding for research and the education of our future turf managers. The year 2023 will bring many changes to our industry, and we are dedicated to keeping you abreast of the changes.
The Greater Pittsburgh GCSA board has set up another great year of meetings at some of the top clubs in our state. The format most often consists of a business meeting, educational speaker, lunch and golf. Speakers will educate us on issues that are relevant to our industry. These meetings are a great opportunity to network with colleagues from around the state.
The Greater Pennsylvania GCSA is also committed to sponsoring turf research within our state that will help superintendents in their decision-making. Our Association also gives scholarships to worthy students who are pursuing our profession.
The strength of any organization is in its members, and your participation will only enhance an already strong organization!
We hope that you'll share your knowledge and experiences and you will be an active member of this prestigious group, which has a long history of professionalism and camaraderie.
Bryan Flaherty, GPGCSA President; Superintendent: South Hills Country Club
